How To Experience Sweet Tranquillity
What Is Tranquillity?
Tranquillity is a feeling of calmness that soothes the soul. Some people seem to have tranquillity in their lives regardless of what is happening. Even when things seem ‘out of whack’ to others these people are steady to the course as they move on.
Problems and troubles will always be a part of daily lives. They cannot be avoided all together – but we do have control over how we react to these problems.
When we allow concerns and anxiety to dictate our lives we become stationary. We are less likely to move forward as we should. We may lose sleep and therefore have less energy to deal with the situation. We have to find ways to give ourselves at least a few moments of relaxation and tranquillity each day.
The goal is to find a way to rid you mind of disturbing thoughts, images, feelings, etc. You are striving to achieve inner calmness that results in total peace and serenity.
Spending time in nature is a wonderful way to get down to basics and in touch with yourself. Just enjoying the feeling of fresh air can be refreshing but if you can focus on elements in the environment and the natural beauty of nature you are likely to forget everything else, even if for only a moment in time.
If you enjoy spending your free time watching TV, why not tune into something that will make you laugh, something that offers light-spirited mindless joy. That can be more mind clearing than a drama.
Resolve to never go to bed feeling angry. Either resolve the negative feelings or find a way to put them aside until the morning. Your goal is to ease your mind so you can rest at night. That will allow you to tackle the problems head on when you are feeling fully rested the next day.
The purpose of finding a place of tranquillity in your life is to keep you stronger in all areas of your life. This is not a way to evade or escape from problems – it actually makes you stronger in every way.
Here are some basic steps to take to bring tranquillity into your life:
- Be forgiving and get rid of any grudges or resentments
- Don’t procrastinate
- Make a list of the things that have to be done and their schedules
- Be resolute and determined to complete the activities on schedule
- Write down the reasons and frequency of rescheduling chores.
- Practice slow deep breathing when you are feeling stressed or worried.
- Seek support from other people to help calm and soothe your nerves.
For deeper concentration and a more stable peaceful mind for longer periods, try meditation or consulting masters who practice the art of inner peace.
You Can Be Successful Now!
Being Successful
Who doesn’t want to be successful – we all want to be successful in one way or another. But of course, what success means to one person can and will be different for another. It may be fame, wealth, peace and tranquillity, a happy family, good health, a religious career and other different aspects in life. People constantly talk about becoming successful, but few really set goals and act on them, which will move them down the pathway of success.
It’s always a good idea to follow in the successful footsteps of others. Buy a book, audio or a course that contains lots of exercises for you to do. There are many success stories around because people like to talk about how they achieved success.
You may say their story is different than yours, and you are right. But lessons can be learned about the thought process of those successful people and how they attained their goals. We all have to learn to recognize opportunities when they are arrive and sometimes we need to just take a chance.
Why so?
It appears there are enough opportunities for everyone to have a chance at achieving their dreams, but not all make it up the ladder. There are other considerations when you climb the ladder to success. One of the first things you have to know is achieving real success is not an easy task.
Success will not be handed to you; it will take a lot of hard work to reach your goals. That’s why reading a book can be helpful – especially one that offers exercises for you to complete along the way. Working through the exercises can help you learn more as you apply the information to your own life and situations. It will awaken your subconscious mind and eventually get incorporated into your habit patterns and life style.
This will help you emotionally and psychologically and prepare you to gradually change your life for the better. Any other form of learning will simply be a supplement to your intellectual knowledge. It does not provide the practicalities which you can gain by constant practice of the exercises.
This practice will enable you to extend what you have learned into your daily life. Eventually, our non-productive habits will be replaced by the productive habits we learned through the exercises. This may mean a change in life style and possibly moving out of your comfort zone.
Be cognizant of the changes that are coming into your life and be open to the new productive habits. The changes are for your own good and will help you climb the ladder of success. If you persist with the exercises and develop new strategies, they will soon become a part of the new you, the successful you.
